This project, organized by the Form Studio, aimed to create a special "Happy Place" for our designated partners. The process involved several steps to understand our partner's preferences and design desires.

After several meetings with our partner, "Rachel," it became evident that while she expressed a preference for organic shapes, soft aesthetics, and rounded edges over sharp ones, there were also moments where conflicting preferences and mixed feelings surfaced.

With this insight, it was decided to incorporate sharp edges into the exterior design, while ensuring that the interior spaces embraced rounded edges to align with Rachel's expressed preferences.

Rachel’s Happy Place consists of three main areas: a room with a glass roof on the east side, a semi-open space on the west side, and a space in between. Each area serves a unique purpose, offering Rachel different options for relaxation and creative activities. She can retreat to the calmness of the eastern room, engage in artistic pursuits in the in-between space, or enjoy the fresh air in the semi-open western area, which she can enclose by closing the door if she wishes.

To regulate the light entering from the roof, fabric structures were employed. These not only control the light but also cast shadows in various areas of the Happy Place, enhancing the overall design cohesiveness.

Reflecting Rachel's preferences, abundant greenery adorns various sections of the Happy Place. Additionally, much of the furniture is integrated into the design, with features such as flower pots emerging from the walls and lights protruding from select parts of the ceiling.
