Amir Lahouti, Assoc. AIA is a designer, researcher, and creator with a deep curiosity about the relationship between space and the experiences of its inhabitants. His work explores a range of spatial qualities and domestic relations, focusing on how users experience and engage with architectural and digital artifacts and their environments.
Fascinated by the role of architectural elements in shaping the built environment, Amir investigates how spatial boundaries influence movement, interaction, and perception. His projects aim to redefine those boundaries and create dynamic, responsive spatial experiences.
Amir has collaborated with the Tehran Urban Innovation Center (TUIC) as a junior researcher and designer, contributing to the development of compartmentalized living dashboards in the Urban Micro-units Studio. He also participated in TUIC’s Architecture & [Inter]National Branding Studio, in collaboration with the University of Miami, where he explored research-driven design strategies.
Amir graduated from the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning with a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree.
